“For this world is not our permanent home; we are looking forward to a home yet to come” (Hebrews 13:14).

While reading the above scripture the following classic movie came to mind, The Wizard of Oz” with Judy Garland. She lived in Kansas City, but during a terrible tornado something hit her on the head knocking her out and separating from her aunt, uncle, home and friends. She awoke in a strange and unfamiliar no longer home in Kansas.

In the New Testament, Jesus would often use parables when teaching for relatable effect. Parables were a good way to teach as well as not give his enemies any ground, enlighten the true hearted, make people think, cause reflection, and fulfill prophecy. He used allegories to also help give earthly and heavenly insight.

I’m going to use The Wizard of Oz movie as an allegory as insight to relate that this is not our permanent home as stated in Hebrew 13:14. Our citizenship is in heaven (Philippians 3:20), we are sojourners passing through for a purpose. If you haven’t seen The Wizard of Oz which is shown annually around Christmas it can be found on DVD, Netflix or other movie outlets.

Summary: Dorothy – Eventually was told that she always had the power within inside to go home. We don’t need to click our heels three times for we have been given power of the Holy Spirit to lead, guide, comfort, strengthen teach us on our Christian journey as well as power over the enemy (Luke 10:19).

**The wizard – Was exposed as a fraud he was remorseful and left in the hot air balloon to Kansas. False prophets/leaders must repent in order to be saved.

**Wicked witch – Was killed by Dorothy when she threw a bucket of water on her causing her to die and fade fading away. When children of God use scriptures our sword of the spirit (Living Water) against Satan he will flee (James 4:7). Jesus used scriptures when lead until the wilderness and tempted by Satan who would flee (Matthew 4:1-11).

As believers, we have power and authority given to us along with spiritual gifts/talents to fulfill our calling, purpose, and assignment on earth. We are Ambassadors in a foreign land representing the Kingdom of God. Heavenly citizens as Lights amid darkness and salt in the earth preserving and seasoning with love and compassion. There are so many people during these uncertain times that are hurting, hopeless and discouraged. We have been chosen to be soldiers, ambassadors and laborers of the Lord in this world/harvest field that’s plentiful and ripe for sharing hope and good news.

This Website is to encourage, edify and enlighten all women to seek their God-given purpose. But, I don’t want to assume everyone reading this Blog is a Christian; therefore, if you are not and would like to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and/or rededicate your life. Please go to the Home page tab scroll down to the middle section “Salvation” and read the information along with the “Prayer of Salvation.”

If lead to repeat the Prayer of Salvation by faith accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior according to Romans 10:9-10, we would like to congratulate and welcome you as child of God for the angels are rejoicing (Luke 15:10). Be sure to scroll back up on the home page to “Prayer Request” section and fill-in any prayer requests and contact information.
